In Musnad Ahmad, it is narrated in a hadith narrated by Hadrat Ubadah Ibn Samet that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “All the sins behind the person who stood up on the night of Qadr with faith and for the purpose of receiving a reward from Allah have been forgiven. Therefore, in the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah in Bukhari and Muslim, it is said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described the great virtues of this night’s deeds. (2) The commentators have generally meant that the good deeds of this night are better than the good deeds of a thousand months. “Qadr is better than a thousand months.” (Al-Qadr verses 3) This verse of this Surah supports this meaning On the other hand, Imam Zuhri said, Qadr means superiority and dignity. “On this night, wise decisions are made on all matters.” (verses 4) This verse of Surah Ad-Dukhan supports this statement: That is, on this night Allah handed it over to the angels to issue the judgment of destiny. Some scholars have accepted Qadar in the sense of destiny. Only on the night of Qadr did the implementation of the last part of this plan begin. On the contrary, before the creation of the whole world, Allah Almighty had made all the plans for the creation of human beings on earth, sending prophets among them, sending down books on prophets, sending Rasoolullah after all prophets, and sending down the Qur’an to him. This is an infallible fact that Allah would not have composed the surahs and verses of the Qur’an only if the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his Islamic da’wah needed to get the right guidance on an event or matter. The second meaning is that the revelation of the Qur’an begins from this night. Then, according to the circumstances and events, at different times for twenty-three years, Gabriel, by the command of Allah, continued to send down his verses and suras to the Messenger of Allah. The first meaning is that on this night the entire Qur’an is given to the angels who hold the revelation.
Revealing the Qur’an tonight can have two meanings. “Indeed, We sent it down on a blessed night, 1 for We always warn ˹against evil˺.” (verse 3) In Surah Ad-Dukhan it is called Mubarak night. This night is called the Night of Power here. (verse 185) ”įrom this, it is known that the night on which the angel of Allah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the cave of Hera was a night in the month of Ramadan. “The Qur’an was revealed in the month of Ramadan. (1) Here it is said, I have sent down the Qur’an on the night of Qadr, again it is said in Surah Al-Baqara: This blessing of Shabe-Qadr is not limited to any particular part of the night Rather it extends till the dawn of Fajr. Some scholiast has associated it with “Salammun” to mean that this night is peace from all evils and dangers. Angels descend to earth on Shabe-Qadr with the inevitable events of the year.
In the narration narrated by Hazrat Abu Jarr Ghaffari, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The Saheeh of Ibraaheem was revealed in the 3rd of Ramadan, the Torah in the 7th of Ramadan, the Gospel in the 13th of Ramadan and the Psalms in the 18th of Ramadan The Qur’an was revealed on the 20th of Ramzan-ul-Mobarak.
